14 March - Western Front While the Germans continue their air attacks aimed at destroying the Remagen bridge and the pontoon bridges erected by the American sappers in this sector (held by units of the III Corps, US Ist Army), the VII Corps reorganizes its formations in readiness for the attack east of the Rhine. On the northern flank of the Remagen bridgehead, the 78th Division (III Corps) reaches its objectives near Ägidienberg, Rottbiz and Kalenborn.
In the US 3rd Army the 87th Division (VIII Corps) is moved into the Koblenz-Lehmen sector. Meanwhile, in the early hours of the morning, the XII Corps begins to advance from the Moselle to the Rhine, and on the southern flank of the army units ofthe XX Corps take Heddert (94th Division), Weiskirchen (80th Division), Nieder Felle and Fell (65th Division).
The American 7th Army completes its preparations for the offensive against the Siegfried Line; in the XXI Corps sector, the 101st Cavalry Group and 70th Division penetrate into Germany and patrol the south bank of the river Saar.

Westfront: Während die Deutschen ihre Luftangriffe auf die Zerstörung der Remagener Brücke und der von den amerikanischen Pionieren in diesem Abschnitt errichteten Pontonbrücken (gehalten von Einheiten des III. Korps der 1. US-Armee) fortsetzen, reorganisiert das VII. Korps seine Formationen für den Angriff östlich des Rheins. An der Nordflanke des Remagener Brückenkopfes erreicht die 78. Division (III. Korps) ihre Ziele bei Ägidienberg, Rottbiz und Kalenborn.
In der 3. US-Armee wird die 87. Division (VIII. Korps) in den Abschnitt Koblenz-Lehmen verlegt. In der Zwischenzeit beginnt das XII. Korps in den frühen Morgenstunden von der Mosel zum Rhein vorzurücken, und an der Südflanke der Armee nehmen Einheiten des XX. Korps Heddert (94. Division), Weiskirchen (80. Division), Nieder Felle und Fell (65. Division) ein.
Die amerikanische 7. Armee schließt ihre Vorbereitungen für die Offensive gegen den Westwall ab. Im Sektor des XXI. Korps dringen die 101. Kavalleriegruppe und die 70. Division in Deutschland ein und patrouillieren am Südufer der Saar.
